Mgr. Michael Straka

Michael is, together with Stanislav, one of the two partners of the law firm.

Michael has mastered both family and criminal law.  He began his practice representing victims of domestic violence and has since successfully defended clients in some of the country’s most high-profile criminal cases.

Michael earns respect wherever he goes. He doesn't defer to titles or robes—he values substance over form, and fairness over formality.

He doesn’t care for endless talk. When a case calls for action, he acts. Yet despite his direct and forceful approach, Michael is also the one who settles the highest number of cases in our office. Clients and adversaries alike often prefer to reach an agreement when he’s across the table—perhaps because they know he’ll fight relentlessly if they don’t.

Michael brings intensity to everything he does. He cares deeply about each client and hates losing. Thanks to his perfect grasp of procedural law, he guides clients through even the most difficult court hearings. And when it comes to cross-examination, Michael is simply at the top of his game—there’s no witness he can’t handle.

He has been practicing law with Stanislav since 2016 and became an attorney in 2019. His practice focuses on criminal defence and victim representation, as well as family, civil, and administrative offences law. He is a member of the Czech Defence Lawyers’ Association and the Czech Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Outside the office, Michael is passionate about sports. He competed in bodybuilding and powerlifting, and is a dedicated Harley-Davidson rider.

Michael is fluent in English.
